The world was a better place with you in it. Sometimes it's not how long you live, but what you do with the time you have. Through your writing and music, you left an indelible impression to last many lifetimes.

Though I didn’t know Melissa my heart is bursting for her life ending too soon and for you, family and friends who loved her. I wish I would have known her because one can feel the depth of her in Frankie & Grace. She has given me so much through them. Thank you Michelle for helping me to believe there’s more. And thank you for teaching the world acceptance through this show. You fly with angels now my dear. I pray you visit your loved ones in their dreams to comfort them.

I’m so sorry to hear of the passing of such a young and talented writer. My thoughts are with Melissa’s family and friends. May her contributions to the world bring them peace. Through the characters of Grace and Frankie we learn to live life to the fullest till the end, come what may.
