KENNETH STEVEN BIDNER
Ken was born in Brooklyn, New York. He was the son of the late Naomi and Sidney Bidner. He passed away on January 16, 2020 in his beloved Seattle. He is survived by his sister Vivien Karpf, brother-in-law Henry Karpf, two nieces, Sydney Perry and Nancy Karpf, and two great-nephews, Sage and Shane.
Ken had a great sense of humor. He was very funny and witty. He was extremely intelligent, well-versed, and was a scrabble wiz.
In his younger days, he sold art posters on college campuses at the beginning of the school term for students to put on their dorm walls. In his even younger years, he was a free spirited hippie.
He loved to travel and play tennis. He was a major baseball and football fan of his beloved Seattle teams. He collected unusual refrigerator magnets which was inspired by seeing his sister’s collection although his far surpassed hers.
His great passion, however, was his music. As a young boy, he taught himself how to play the guitar and piano. He was a gifted musician and composer. He loved to create music in his studio at home, and then shared the results of his amazing talent by recording CDs.
He was a loyal and caring friend. He had awesome friendships with his childhood friends from Brooklyn; and great forty year relationships with his “new friends” from Seattle. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. May they cherish his memories.
A memorial service and celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, August 9, 2020 at 1:00pm EST at Beth Israel Cemetery located in Woodbridge, New Jersey. To join this Goldstein Funeral Chapel Zoom event, please go to https://us02web.zoom.us/j/84676819682, meeting ID: 846 7681 9682
