Obituary of PHYLLIS HERSH

Phyllis Hersh (nee) Kreutner passed on February 14th, 2021 Valentine’s Day, at her home at The Polo Club in Boca Raton, Florida. She was the daughter of Murray and Estelle Kreutner from Clarksburg, New Jersey. She attended Allentown High School and later Rider College, where she met her future husband Sandy. Phyllis and Sandy Hersh married in New Brunswick on June 24th, 1956 and spent 64 wonderful years together! Phyllis was employed as an administrative assistant at Princeton University. She also worked part time for the Berg Agency while raising her children Evan and Marcy. The family resided in North Bergen, then Edison New Jersey, with Phyllis and Sandy later retiring to Boca Raton, Florida. Phyllis was an avid golf and bridge player and was always up for a good shopping adventure with friends. She was of course, an expert at restaurant selection. Phyllis enjoyed attending ballet, opera, theater, and many other social events with her husband and friends. She loved to travel, one of her favorite things were her trips to Cancun with longtime friends and family every year for over 30 years. But she especially looked forward to her trips up North to see her kids and her grandkids Phyllis was predeceased by her son Evan and survived by her husband Sandy, her daughter Marcy, son-in-law Jim, sister Sylvia, sister in-law Pearl and her grandchildren Katie and Laci and many nieces and nephews.
