I was an attorney at the Mezey law firm when Danny did the collections. I got to know him pretty well and enjoyed our friendship. As far as clloctions go he was the best- all I know is his cousin Fred would give him a collection jjob. Danny would make a call and the money miraculous ly arrived in record time. The man was unique and I admire d him and who he was- a great guy who you definitely wanted on your side.
My deepest sympathies to the Orenberg family. I knew Danny as a child growing up in Newark, living right around the corner from Max and Danny's butcher shop. I got reacquainted with him not too long ago and we had many enjoyable conversations. To me he was always larger than life; someone I looked up to both as a boy and then later when I really got to know him. He was always kind and considerate to me and I too will miss him.
