Obituary of JULIUS J FEINSON

Julius Joseph Feinson Julius, 83, died on April 11, 2021 in Edison, NJ. Julius was born in the Bronx, NY to Leon and Betty Feinson, immigrants from Riga, Latvia. He received his law degree from Rutgers University Law School in 1964 and went on to practice law for over 55 years in the field of workers compensation. He was a recipient of the Jack O’Brien Service Award given by the Workers’ Compensation Section of the State Bar Association in 2007 for contributions and achievements in the field of workers’ compensation law, and a past chair of the State Bar Workers’ Compensation Section’s Executive Committee. He was a member and active congregant of Temple Neve Shalom for over 50 years, serving in numerous leadership roles including president of the synagogue. He and his former wife Marjorie raised their children in the synagogue and celebrated all of life’s events and challenges there. He was a dedicated member of the central New Jersey Jewish community, serving on the board and as president of Jewish Family and Children’s Services of Middlesex County. Julius had a large and diverse network of dear friends and colleagues from all walks of life. He was an avid supporter of the institution of the NJ diner, a sometimes fan of the NY Giants, and a great lover of all Jewish (and Jewish style) delis. Julius is survived, and dearly missed, by his children, Larry and Jennifer, Leslie and Stephen and their partners, and by his beloved grandchildren, Zoe, Alex, Kyle, Ela and Ana. The collection of Hess trucks he bequeathed to them each year has grown to be vast, covering many years and stretching from NJ to PA to AZ. Julius and his partner, Sandy, spent the last years together living and enjoying life to the fullest. Funeral services will be held at Beth Israel Cemetery in Woodbridge, NJ at 2pm on April 14, 2021. Shiva will be held on the evening of April 14, 2021 by Zoom at 7pm.
